At the Willows Dementia Hub, we provide specialist high-quality care and support for those living with Dementia and their families from across the borough.
Dedicated Dementia Care
We offer a specialist Dementia residential home
The residential home offers 22 permanent places.
All our rooms are ensuite, 19 with showers, and we have a large assisted bathroom, with a rise and fall bath and shower. The residency also caters for adults with physical disabilities and we have an overnight respite care service providing a relaxing home from home environment to feel secure and comfortable.
Outside we have two beautiful spacious gardens for all our residents to use where they can relax and take part in garden therapy.
Our project team that developed our services worked closely with the charity Alzheimer’s UK and we used Stirling University Standards for Dementia Design to provide and create a welcoming Dementia friendly environment.
Day Care Comfort
Our Comfort Day Service
We also offer Comfort Days for up to 30 service users at our local sister site Moss Bridge. This service offers activities and therapies to promote mental stimulation and where possible physical activities, to enable our patients to have a rich and varied quality of life. All service users are offered refreshments throughout the day as well as a home cooked two course meal from our café. Comfort Days are a warm welcomed respite for our service users’ carers, families, and friends.
Willows at Home
The Willows at Home service is a care package that our staff visit service users in their own home and offer the same high-quality standards of care and caring attitude as our residents receive in the Willows Dementia Hub. Not only do our service users receive the healthcare they need but are also offered activities such as baking, going out on trips or artwork in their own home, giving them the opportunity to remain independent for as long as they are able to do so.
By offering a range of services for adults with or without dementia we can tailor our care specifically for each individual, with expert support we can help people to live independently in their own homes for longer. We offer both social and personal care, companionship visits shopping and to attend appointments etc. Working with individuals, families and carers we all can establish what is needed and what preferences they have allowing us to put together a unique care package.
Our services are from seven days a week from 7:30am to 8:00pm so you can choose to enjoy our services on one or two days or all week, it’s your choice!
